Summer Assignments

Summer work completion may be required for some courses. The purpose of this work is typically to reactivate prior knowledge and continue practice of reading and writing skills. In some cases, summer work is utilized as a pre-assessment tool. AP and other advanced courses may require summer work to help cover materials due to the AP testing in April/May, prior to the end of the school year. Work assigned over the summer is considered required work. Due dates are determined by the teacher and communication between the student and the teacher is highly encouraged. Summer assignments will be graded as part of the first quarter work, equal to no more than 15% of the first quarter grade. Summer work has been assigned for the 2025-26 school year.
