Flock Block
Flock Block is a daily, 40-minute homeroom period designed to assist students in connecting with teachers, counselors, peers, and God through both structured and unstructured activities.
Mission
Flock Block provides a daily, structured time which supports every student’s academic growth, social-emotional well-being, faith formation, and sense of community. Grounded in our Catholic tradition and the values of Faith, Compassion, Integrity, and Service, we meet learners where they are through intervention, enrichment, prayer, and meaningful relationships so they can thrive in and beyond the classroom.
Vision
Flock Block will form well-rounded, faith-driven graduates who know God, care for others, and pursue excellence. By uniting targeted academic support, SEL practices, and practicing faith through Mass, prayer, service, reflection, and community activities, we will strengthen student-teacher relationships, increase engagement and motivation, and promote lasting mental well-being and school satisfaction.

Monday + Tuesday: Social-Emotional Learning
Our counseling curriculum follows the ASCA National Model and includes SOAR Learning and soft skills, the Birkman Career Assessment, Flourish career modules, Mental Health First Aid, Sources of Strength suicide prevention, and college/career exploration. These lessons help students build strong habits, explore careers, support mental health, and plan for life after high school.
Wednesday: Academic Formation
Students use this time for supplemental AP course work, independent tutoring facilitated by the National Honor Society, intervention in Math and English, student-to-teacher check-ins, and quiz or test makeups. Academic silent study halls are held in their Flock Home Room.
Student Choice Days: On most Thursdays and Fridays students can choose which activity they want to attend. Thursdays are “Faith Flocks” and Fridays are “Falcon Fridays”. Over 400 unique events were offered during Thursdays and Fridays during the 2024-2025 School year. These choice options can include small-group faith sharing, service projects, guest speakers, Bible studies, class Mass, Sports Ministry, Art/Music Ministry, Adoration, Rosary, student and staff testimony, and reflection. In addition, student choice options may include life skills sessions, Ohio Math League, personality studies, class competitions, clubs, community events, student-led events, college and career speakers, and team-building activities.
